I was lucky enough to grow up in a family defined by writing, wine, landscape, and a certain kind of serious attention to the world. That heritage shaped how I think: the long view, ideas belows the surface, the primacy of place, the belief that focus is what creates real meaning.

I've been an editor, researcher, and journalist across three continents, and hold a Master of Science with Distinction from Edinburgh University, an Honors Roll postgraduate diploma from the USA, and one degree in Art and another in Editing and Publishing from back home in NZ.

I’ve won prizes for essays, short stories, speeches, journalism, and culture writing. Currently based in Amsterdam, I work with global publications, NGOs, brands, and cultural institutions across Europe, New Zealand, and beyond.

I'm sometimes available for projects, brand storytelling, long-form content etc - as commitments allow.
